Transcript:

Hi, everyone. I'm Brian Krueger with CollegeGrad.com and this is The Job Search Minute. What’s the best dress for an interview? Here’s a quick formula to follow that will help you dress for interview success. Two-piece conservative suit for men, solid dark blue or dark grey is best. Two-piece conservative jacket and skirt or pantsuit for women, again solid dark blue or dark grey is best. Conservative long sleeve shirt or blouse in either white or a soft pastel color. Men should wear a silk necktie with a conservative pattern. Clean and polished conservative shoes, dark socks for men, conservative hose for women. Keep it simple and keep it conservative. The interview is not the time to show your flair for latest campus fashions. The interviewer should be focusing on you as a person, not on what you’re wearing.
